Times depend on traffic, which is heaviest in July and August, and on the number of hotel stops.

1. Bus: BusPlana from Reus Airport

Empresa Plana (BusPlana) runs the official airport bus from Reus Airport to the Costa Daurada resorts. Aena lists it on its Reus Airport "getting there by bus" page.

  • Route: Reus Airport → La Pineda → PortAventura hotels → Salou → Cambrils. BusPlana says it has stops next to most of the area's apartments, hotels and campsites.
  • Fare: from €3.10, with a €3.90 single shown on the BusPlana transfers page, and no extra charge for luggage, as of November 2026.
  • Timetable: departures are adjusted to flight arrivals, according to Aena. BusPlana runs year-round, with more trips in high season. Check the times for your flight on busplana.com.
  • Accessibility: for wheelchair-adapted services, BusPlana asks you to call 24 hours in advance.

Pros: very cheap, luggage included, and stops close to many hotels. Cons: a shared bus with several stops, and in low season, when there are fewer flights, there are also fewer buses.

2. Taxi

Taxis wait outside the terminal. The fare is metered, so ask for the price before you set off and check night, weekend and luggage supplements. Reus Airport is small, so the taxi rank is a short walk from arrivals.

3. Car hire

Car hire desks are in the terminal. A car is handy for exploring the Priorat wine region, the Ebro Delta or the coast, but parking near the beach in Salou and Cambrils is limited and often paid in summer. Many hotels charge for parking.

4. Private transfer (pre-booked, fixed price)

A private transfer means a driver waiting at arrivals with your name and a direct ride to your hotel, apartment or campsite in Salou, Cambrils, La Pineda or the PortAventura resort hotels, with no stops for other passengers.

With ANDY:

  • Fixed price, booked in advance: you see the full price before paying.
  • Flight tracking included: if your flight is delayed, the driver adjusts.
  • Free cancellation up to 24h before pickup.
  • Rated 4.8/5 on Trustpilot.

For families with children, pushchairs and holiday luggage, one vehicle straight to the door is often simpler than a shared bus.

Reus Airport to Cambrils

The BusPlana airport bus continues to Cambrils after Salou, on the same timetable. By private transfer you go straight there, including to Vilafortuny or the marina area. → Reus Airport to Cambrils transfer

Reus Airport to PortAventura World

PortAventura World (theme park, Ferrari Land, Caribe Aquatic Park and the resort hotels) sits between Salou and Vila-seca. The BusPlana airport bus serves the PortAventura hotels. If you are staying in the resort, check which stop is closest to your hotel when you book. For a direct ride, see the Reus Airport to La Pineda transfer or our Barcelona Airport to PortAventura World guide if you fly into Barcelona.

Reus Airport to Barcelona

Reus has far fewer flights than Barcelona-El Prat, but some travellers land at Reus and head to Barcelona.

  • Bus: Aena lists an Airport – Barcelona bus run by Hispano Igualadina, with departures adjusted to flight arrivals. Check times and fares with the operator before you fly.
  • Private transfer: a direct ride to your address in Barcelona or to El Prat Airport. → Reus to Barcelona transfer

Salou, Cambrils or La Pineda: where are you staying?

The three resorts are next to each other along the coast, and the airport bus serves all of them, so the right option mostly depends on where your accommodation is:

  • Salou: the largest resort, with hotels along the seafront and the Passeig Jaume I. The bus stops at several points in town.
  • Cambrils: a quieter town known for its fishing port and seafood restaurants, at the end of the bus route.
  • La Pineda (Vila-seca): closest to PortAventura and Aquopolis, with many family hotels.

If your hotel is away from the main road, a private transfer saves a walk with your suitcases from the nearest stop.

Which option should you choose?

  • Daytime flight, light luggage, budget: the BusPlana airport bus.
  • Family, group or PortAventura stay with lots of luggage: a pre-booked private transfer.
  • Late or delayed flight: a private transfer with flight tracking, or a taxi.
  • Flying into Barcelona instead? See our Barcelona Airport to Salou guide.

Practical tips

  • Seasonal flights: many Reus routes run only in summer. In winter, check whether Barcelona-El Prat is your better option.
  • Check-out day: most hotels ask you to leave the room in the morning. If your flight is in the evening, ask about luggage storage at your hotel.
  • Flying home: book your ride back in advance, especially on busy summer Saturdays.
  • Tarragona: for the city of Tarragona, see the Reus Airport to Tarragona transfer.
