Short answer: Tossa de Mar is the next stop after Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava coast road. From Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) there is one direct public option: the Sagalés line 613 bus, which runs Girona Airport → Lloret de Mar → Tossa de Mar and reaches Tossa about 20 minutes after Lloret. In winter it runs only on some days: from 1 November to 31 December 2026 there is no service from Tuesday to Thursday. A taxi is direct but metered. The most reliable option, especially outside summer or with a late flight, is a pre-booked private transfer at a fixed price, waiting for you at arrivals.

1. Bus: Sagalés line 613 (direct)
Line 613 is the only direct bus between Girona Airport and Tossa de Mar. It stops at Lloret de Mar bus station and then continues to Tossa de Mar. Some departures are operated by Moventis.
- Journey: buses reach Tossa about 20 minutes after Lloret, according to the Sagalés timetable.
- Fare: the Sagalés fare page lists €12 one way to Lloret. We could not verify the fare to Tossa when we checked, so confirm it with Sagalés or the driver.
Winter timetable, departures from Girona Airport (1 November to 31 December 2026):
| Day | Departures from Girona Airport |
|---|---|
| Monday | 11:15, 14:15 |
| Tuesday – Thursday | No service |
| Friday | 11:15, 15:00 |
| Saturday | 06:35, 15:00 |
| Sunday | 06:35 |
Tossa de Mar → Girona Airport (same period): the bus starts in Tossa about 20 minutes before its Lloret departure. Lloret departures are Monday 10:30 and 13:40, Friday 10:30 and 16:20, Saturday 06:00 and 16:20, and Sunday 06:00. There is no service Tuesday to Thursday. Check the exact Tossa time on the official PDF.
The timetable from January 2027 had not been published when we checked, and summer timetables are usually much busier. Some Sagalés pages describe the line as daily, but the official winter PDF shows the reduced timetable above, so trust the PDF for your travel date.
Pros: direct and cheap. Cons: in winter most flights simply do not match a departure, the bus stops at the bus station rather than your hotel, and a delayed flight can mean missing the only bus of the day.
2. Bus to Lloret, then taxi
If the 613 runs on your day but your accommodation is outside the centre of Tossa, or you want more choice, you can take the bus to Lloret de Mar and a taxi from there. Lloret is a bigger town with a taxi rank near the bus station. This adds a second fare and a change, so it only makes sense when you are travelling light.
3. Taxi and car hire
Licensed taxis wait outside the single terminal at Girona Airport. The fare is metered and not fixed, so ask for the price before you set off and check night or luggage supplements.
Car hire is easy at GRO and useful if you want to explore coves and villages along the coast. In Tossa, parking near the old town (Vila Vella) and the beach is limited in summer, so check whether your hotel offers parking before you book a car.
4. Private transfer (pre-booked, fixed price)
A private transfer means a driver waiting at arrivals with your name, then a direct ride to the door of your hotel, apartment or campsite in Tossa de Mar, with no timetable to match and no change in Lloret.
With ANDY:
- Fixed price, booked in advance: you see the full price before paying.
- Flight tracking included: if your flight is delayed, the driver adjusts.
- Free cancellation up to 24h before pickup.
- Rated 4.8/5 on Trustpilot.
This is especially useful from November to March, when the direct bus does not run on most days, and for families or groups, where one vehicle replaces several bus tickets plus a taxi.

Which option should you choose?
- Summer, daytime flight, travelling light: the 613 bus, if its timetable matches your landing time.
- Winter (November to March): check the 613 timetable first. From Tuesday to Thursday there is no bus at all, so a taxi or private transfer is the only direct option.
- Family, group, diving or cycling gear, late flight: a pre-booked private transfer.

Practical tips
- One terminal: Girona Airport is small, so the bus stop, taxi rank and meeting point are all a short walk from arrivals.
- Coast road: the road from Lloret to Tossa has many bends. If someone in your group gets car-sick, sit at the front.
- Flying home: Sagalés advises being at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight. On days without a 613 departure, book your ride back in advance.
