How to Get from Girona Airport to Lloret de Mar (2026 Guide)

Fixed price per vehicle · Free cancellation up to 24h

Short answer: Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is only about 30 minutes by road from Lloret de Mar. The cheapest option is the direct Sagalés line 613 bus: 35 minutes, €12 one way or €19 return. But in winter it runs only a few times a week: from 1 November to 31 December 2026 there are no departures at all from Tuesday to Thursday. Shared shuttles drop you at your hotel but wait for other passengers. A taxi is quick but metered. The most reliable option, especially outside summer, is a pre-booked private transfer at a fixed price, waiting for you whatever time you land.

1. Bus: Sagalés line 613 (direct)

Line 613 links Girona Airport, Lloret de Mar bus station and Tossa de Mar. Some departures are operated by Moventis.

  • Duration: about 35 minutes to Lloret (Sagalés timetable). Buses continue to Tossa de Mar about 20 minutes later.
  • Fare: €12 one way, €19 return, as of November 2026.

Winter timetable, Girona Airport → Lloret de Mar (1 November to 31 December 2026):

DayDepartures from Girona Airport
Monday11:15, 14:15
Tuesday – ThursdayNo service
Friday11:15, 15:00
Saturday06:35, 15:00
Sunday06:35

Lloret de Mar → Girona Airport (same period): Monday 10:30 and 13:40, Friday 10:30 and 16:20, Saturday 06:00 and 16:20, Sunday 06:00. No service Tuesday to Thursday.

The timetable from January 2027 had not been published when we checked, and summer timetables are usually much busier. Some Sagalés pages describe the line as daily, but the official winter PDF shows the reduced timetable above, so trust the PDF for your date.

Pros: cheap and direct. Cons: in winter, most flights simply do not match a departure. The bus stops at Lloret bus station, not at your hotel, and a late flight means you miss the only bus of the day.

2. Shared shuttle to your hotel

Shared shuttle companies such as From2 (sold via Moventis Experience) run airport-to-hotel coaches. You give your flight number and accommodation when booking, a representative meets you in arrivals, and you are dropped at your hotel or the nearest accessible point. Standard luggage is one suitcase up to 20 kg plus one small bag. Extra luggage and pushchairs cost extra.

Pros: drops you near your accommodation. Cons: you wait for other passengers and make several stops, and if your flight is very late you are moved to the next available coach.

3. Bus via Girona city

When the 613 is not running, you can take bus 607 from the airport to Girona bus station (about 30 minutes, roughly hourly on weekdays in winter), then a Sagalés bus from Girona to Lloret (line 663 serves Lloret via Caldes de Malavella). Check the connecting timetable carefully. This option is slow and only makes sense on a tight budget.

4. Taxi and car hire

Licensed taxis wait outside the single terminal. The ride takes about 30 minutes, but the fare is metered and not fixed: ask for the price before you set off and check night or luggage supplements.

Car hire is easy from GRO, but parking in Lloret's centre is limited and many hotels charge for it. For a short beach stay you may not need a car at all.

5. Private transfer (pre-booked, fixed price)

A private transfer means a driver waiting at arrivals with your name, then a direct ride to the door of your hotel or apartment in Lloret, Fenals, Santa Cristina or anywhere nearby, with no timetable to match.

With ANDY:

  • Fixed price, booked in advance: you see the full price before paying.
  • Flight tracking included: if your flight is delayed, the driver adjusts.
  • Free cancellation up to 24h before pickup.
  • Rated 4.8/5 on Trustpilot.

This is especially useful in winter, when the direct bus does not run on most days, and for families or groups, where one vehicle replaces several bus tickets plus a taxi from the bus station.

Which option should you choose?

  • Summer, daytime flight, travelling light: the 613 bus, if the timetable matches.
  • Winter (November to March): check the 613 timetable first. On most days a taxi or private transfer is the only direct option.
  • Family, group, golf or diving gear, late flight: a pre-booked private transfer.
  • Staying in Tossa de Mar? The same 613 bus continues there, or book a Girona Airport to Tossa de Mar transfer.
